The suggester says: "Not only is this image completely marvelous, but the use of vivid yet dark colors captures the fantasy qualities within the game."

Alright, so this is my first critique here, so bear with me alright?

First off I have to say CONGRATS on the atmosphere, you've achieved it perfectly, though in my opinion, in order to fit the tone of the game even more, I'd have darkened the picture a little more than you did.

In general I agree with much of what has been said in the other critiques, such as it having a realistic vibe with cartoony undertones. I admire how you haven't made this realistic-ness primarily a dull boring brownish gray like most do and rather made the colours both faded and eye-popping where it needed to be. The detail is immense!

To a further extent, I also really enjoy how you made Daniel appear, he's very kept and self-contained, constantly observing absorbing his environment for threats and traps aswell as a way out. I do think you could have added a bit more emotion to his face though, but the (Gatherer?) in the background really adds to the fear and intrigue that is to come. I love how the perspective lines up with the deviation as well, it makes it all the more intriguing to look at than just straight forward.

Other than that, the only thing I'd have worked a little more on is maybe blending the colours together for a smoother approach and increased the heaviness of the clothes. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Overall, I wouldn't say that I'm envious of your work but rather amazed, and hope to achieve the same in my work, thank you for making such a nice piece of art, and inspiring me for amelioration of my art.
