The very definition of the word as stemmed from Nabokov. I can't tell whether I find it amusing or sad that what it is defined as today reaches no farther than the ends of their noses. Although, I suppose that's snobbish, I too was young and most assuredly made similar mistakes. Still, it doesn't instill much hope, after all, it appears the parents didn't learn from their mistakes. :|

Lovely work.

i think this captures the essence of lolita in reference to 'a promiscuous young woman' rather than the japanese fashion trend
nice work :D

Gracias, aunque en realidad no tiene mucha pinta de inocente.

exactly! in the book called lolita, the main character is a promiscuous young woman, not a pure and innocent teenager who dresses in frills etc. same word, different meaning.

Actually, in the book, Lolita *is* an innocent young teenager, who's mind is warped by her pedophilic step-father. She was as much a temptress as any girl her age.

ah, I see, I've never read the book so I wasn't aware of that :P
though I think what people mean when they say 'this isn't lolita' is that this doesn't follow the Japanese fashion trend, which, I believe, is meant to be a look that shows purity and innocence. that's my view on it anyway :P

I agree with most of the others. Nice work but I don't think it captures the essence of lolita.

As attractive as she is, she is not Lolita.
Lolita is meant to be sweet and pure, and therefore she shouldn't be showing so much skin.
Lolita is not a sexy pin-up model with impressive breasts. Lolita is an innocent young girl.

Defiantly NOT Lolita.

That's School Girl Fantasy.
